cjcdrummond Posted March 1, 2014 Share Posted March 1, 2014 Hi all, I have installed ftx global base and seems to be fine save that there is no entry for it in the scenery library. Then installed vector and all is okay. Then installed England and Wales and all not okay. Both showing in fsx scenery library but ftx central now has 4 choices....default, europe and 2 x global?? No hybrid or vector lights options. So I loaded fsx and sadly the awesome night light effect was not there over England or Wales but was in all other areas. Holger Sandmann Posted March 1, 2014 Share Posted March 1, 2014 Hi Bruce, the UK regions predate the FTX Global night lighting system, which is why you'll see the older style, which is less dense and also a bit harder on fps. Make sure though you have double-clicked on the FTX Night icon on your desktop to enable it (double-clicking on FTX Day deactivates it again to help save fps during daytime flights). We've begun the process of converting all released FTX regions to FTXG night lighting as free updates but it'll take a while as it requires extensive edits to the existing file sets.
