redlightning777
Howdy, I recently purchased this fine looking airport and have come across this particular issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Adam
Jarrad Marshall
G'day Adam, No worries at all - make sure you download and install the latest CRM patches, this should sort the issue for you. Let me know how you go, Cheers, Jarrad

wulfbindewald
Hi Adam, when You look at Google earth --> streetview in that location you will find that the lowered group of small lakes in the gravel pit zone is real. Enclosed a pic of the area in summer. Another thing is the sawtooth pattern along the bank. This does not look realistic, but might be the same effect and reason as explained here (for PAJN), mail #9, topic 1. http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/72953-does-this-look-correct-at-pajn/ Wulf
redlightning777
Yes I would be talking about the sawtooth pattern along the bank.. Whats really strange is that I fly with a friend of mine who talked me into getting this particular airport, and he says that he does not have this issue? Strange. Either way I think it looks ridiculous.
wulfbindewald
the shown pic above, mail #4, is based on a terrain mesh resolution 5m, as generally advised for FTX scenerys. I checked the scenery with 38m only for test, then You will see no more sawtooth pattern.
Jarrad Marshall
G'day Adam, I replied earlier than I should have - I read/replied to your post on my phone and should have waited to check out your pic on a normal screen; this is indeed as it should be. As others have noted above, this is a fairly prominent quarry in the area. I agree that the sawtooth isn't ideal, however it is a limitation of the way the FSX engine renders sharp inclines. In your case, the lack of detailed texture due to snow cover certainly adds to the visual impairment - if you haven't already, try the area in other seasons to lessen the impact. Wulf is also correct in noting above that changing terrain resolution may result in a lesser effect, however I wouldn't recommend straying from the 5m setting as it will result in other issues elsewhere in the ORBX world. I've attached a quick shot in SU for comparison. Cheers, Jarrad
