skogstroll
Hi, I recently purchased FTX global and installed it together with some freeware airports and the Iceland demo. The problem is that FTX central refuses to start and just gives me an error message saying that an exception occured and that the key could not be found in the list. When clicking the information button it displays the text below. Any suggetions? Thanks in advance! ************ Undantagstext **************System.Collections.Generic.KeyNotFoundException: Den angivna nyckeln finns inte i uppslagslistan. vid System.ThrowHelper.ThrowKeyNotFoundException() vid System.Collections.Generic.SortedList`2.get_Item(TKey key) vid FTXCentral.FTXC.DisplayRegionList() vid FTXCentral.FTXC.InitAll() vid FTXCentral.FTXC.Timer1_Tick(Object sender, EventArgs e) vid System.Windows.Forms.Timer.OnTick(EventArgs e) vid System.Windows.Forms.Timer.TimerNativeWindow.WndProc(Message& m) vid System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam)************** Inlästa sammansättningar **************mscorlib Sammansättningsversion: 2.0.0.0 Win32-version: 2.0.50727.5472 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400)----------------------------------------FTXCentral Sammansättningsversion: 1.0.4.0 Win32-version: 1.0.4.0----------------------------------------Microsoft.VisualBasic Sammansättningsversion: 8.0.0.0 Win32-version: 8.0.50727.5420 (Win7SP1.050727-5400)----------------------------------------System Sammansättningsversion: 2.0.0.0 Win32-version: 2.0.50727.5467 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400)----------------------------------------System.Windows.Forms Sammansättningsversion: 2.0.0.0 Win32-version: 2.0.50727.5468 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400)----------------------------------------System.Drawing Sammansättningsversion: 2.0.0.0 Win32-version: 2.0.50727.5467 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400)----------------------------------------System.Runtime.Remoting Sammansättningsversion: 2.0.0.0 Win32-version: 2.0.50727.5420 (Win7SP1.050727-5400)----------------------------------------System.Configuration Sammansättningsversion: 2.0.0.0 Win32-version: 2.0.50727.5476 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400)----------------------------------------System.Xml Sammansättningsversion: 2.0.0.0 Win32-version: 2.0.50727.5476 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400)----------------------------------------zu4waj79 Sammansättningsversion: 1.0.4.0 Win32-version: 2.0.50727.5467 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400)----------------------------------------System.Core Sammansättningsversion: 3.5.0.0 Win32-version: 3.5.30729.5420 built by: Win7SP1----------------------------------------yiehffrt Sammansättningsversion: 1.0.4.0 Win32-version: 2.0.50727.5467 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400)----------------------------------------mscorlib.resources Sammansättningsversion: 2.0.0.0 Win32-version: 2.0.50727.5472 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400)----------------------------------------System.Windows.Forms.resources Sammansättningsversion: 2.0.0.0 Win32-version: 2.0.50727.5420 (Win7SP1.050727-5400)----------------------------------------
Alex Goff
Try installing the latest libraries, found here: http://www.fullterrain.com/support.html That should refresh FTX Central with the latest versions
skogstroll
Thanks for your response but it seems installing the libraries just created another problem. When attempting to start FTX Central I now get the message that an object reference is missing: System. Windows.Forms.Timer.OnTick(EventArgs e) vid System.Windows.Forms.Timer.TimerNativeWindow.WndProc(Message& m) vid System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam) Any other idea? Ed Correia
Go to ORBX\Scripts\FTXCentral\Regions and delete the LastAppliedConfig.ftx file. That should get you back to normal.
skogstroll
Thanks, that solved it! I'm now able to launch FTX Central but it tells me that all Orbx FTX features are disabled. Is this something to worry about? (According to the report FTX global base pack is installed).
skogstroll
I'd just like to add that there is no FTX global icon in FTX Central, there is just the "Default" icon.
Ed Correia
That's odd. See if re-installing the Global 1.20 patch gets you back up and running.
skogstroll
I installed the patches and believed we were back on square one since I got the "key not found" message again. After deleting the LastAppliedConfig-file it disappeared and I could at least start FTX Central again, however, with the same result as before. It still says that all features are disabled and I just have the "Default icon" "FTX products installed" gives me this list: FTX AA ORBX LIBRARIES VER 131215 15th December 2013FTX AU YMLT VERSION 2.5 (SP3) October2009FTX CA CBB7 TIPELLA AIRPORT 1.00 JULY 2013FTX GLOBAL BASE PACK - Version 1.20 December 2013FTX GLOBAL FREEWARE AIRPORTS NORTH AMERICA PACK 1 - September 2013FTX GLOBAL FREEWARE AIRPORTS NORTH AMERICA PACK 2 - September 2013FTX GLOBAL FREEWARE AIRPORTS NORTH AMERICA PACK 3 - October 2013FTX GLOBAL FREEWARE AIRPORTS NORTH AMERICA PACK 4 - November 2013FTX GLOBAL FREEWARE AIRPORTS NORTH AMERICA PACK 5 - December 2013FTX GLOBAL FREEWARE AIRPORTS NORTH AMERICA PACK 6 (Hawaii) - January 2014FTX openLC Base Region Version 1.10 - September 2013FTX openLC Europe Region 1 (Baltics Demo) Version 1.10 - September 2013FTX openLC Europe Region 8 (Iceland Demo) Version 1.00 - October 2013FTX openLC North America Region 1 Version 1.00 - September 2013 Any idea? Ed Correia
Are you able to take a scrennshot of the ORBX\Scripts\FTXCentral\Regions folder & paste it here please.
skogstroll
I'd love to but it looks like I'm for some reason not allowed to paste and post pictures. I'll do it in the old-fashioned way. The Region folder contains these files: global_hybrid.rgn 2013-09-17 11kB InsertFTXOff.png 2009-05-06 29kB LastAppliedConfig.ftx 2014-02-13 1kB MapWorldBlack.png 2009-05-06 33kB Region_FTX_OFF.rgn 2012-10-12 8kB terrain_global.cfg 2013-08-06 17kB terrain_global_v.cfg 2013-12-09 52kB
Ed Correia
For some reason your global.rgn file has gone missing. Extract this to that folder and you should be OK global.zip
skogstroll
YES, that was a step in the right direction but I'm afraid we are not there yet... I can now apply FTX Global but I get the message "FTX Global was applied but with errors". Then I get a pretty log list with list with errors, I just copied the first and the last rows rows: Apply region error report.Custom File does not exist: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Texture\BLDA2.ddsCustom File does not exist: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Texture\BLDA2LM.ddsCustom File does not exist: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Texture\BLDA3.BMPCustom File does not exist: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Texture\BLDA3LM.BMPCustom File does not exist: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Texture\BLDB2.ddsCustom File does not exist: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Texture\BLDB2LM.ddsCustom File does not exist: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Texture\BLDB3.BMPCustom File does not exist: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Texture\BLDB3LM.BMPCustom File does not exist: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Texture\BLDC2.dds... Ed Correia
Is FSX patched up to SP2 or Acceleration? http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/907-heads-up-you-will-need-fsx-sp2-acceleration-to-see-all-ftx-features/
skogstroll
Yes, SP2 is installed. I looked for the files in the list (not all, just some samples) and they are existing.
skogstroll
I decided to make a more radical approach. Since I still had FSX in that Progran files (x86) folder I decided to uninstall FSX and all the add-ons completely and make a clean new installation on C:. This seems to have solved the problem! Thanks a lot for your patience! I really appreciated your support!

Thanks a lot for your patience! I really appreciated your support! With Win 7 and much more Win 8, avoid to install FSX into Program Files as suggested by default. That was worth with Win xp but not anymore with higher version because of rights for sub modules and dll execution
