MAX327 Posted February 2, 2014 Share Posted February 2, 2014 I'm struggling a bit posting pictures..... PNW order #FSS0055857 FSX DirectX10 preview enabled. After installing PNW Patch 007 I'm getting black boxes scattered throughout the scenery that I believe are Vector lights. Screenshot is in Arlington Washington area. I guess with some of these orbx sceneries, there is some weird issue with dx10 preview, so just turn it off for now and wait for the next patch to release. Rob Newman Posted February 3, 2014 Share Posted February 3, 2014 It's a known issue. DX10 preview mode will cause this black box issue... Indeed FSX's DX10 mode as it stands has a whole lot of issues and is NOT recommended "as is". Having said that, There is a tool (payware) called "Steve's DX10 Fixer" which corrects a lot of the known DX10 bugs, including black boxes. If you're going to run using DX10 mode, it's recommended to do so with Steve's DX10 Fixer, otherwise you will run into a lot of problems like this.
