papabb
Thought I would share this. The Collings Foundation has several war birds they have preserved. Today at a Municipal airport North of Tampa,FL they brought in a B-17, B-24( only one flying in the World) and a P-51C dual seat. Here is the link to the foundation. http://www.collingsfoundation.org/menu.htm Enjoy the pictures-

papabb
Just around the USA I am afraid Should have been there--- as the B-17 approached the field, right over our heads, and a sharp bank to his downwind-The sound of those engines...... P-51C to follow....then the B-24 WOW....
GuywithaBeer
Just reminded me that there is a B-24 around the corner from where I live that is being restored to airworthy condition, sadly though the aircraft is unlikely to fly. Last time I was in there (about 2 years ago) the airframe was almost complete, they had one engine running or about to be running, and the cockpit instrumentation was sitting partially assemlbed on the floor. http://www.b24australia.org.au/?option=com_frontpage&Itemid=
