geebee
Hello Everyone, Just to let you know I'm a first time ORBX user. I installed the freeware Iceland demo. I ran the demo in DX9 mode and there are black 'squares' scattered all over the landscape. I assume they are the lights, so I made a flight at night, and they ARE lights but the black squares are still there. Then I ran the demo in DX10 mode and the black squares disappeared. Is this the way it's supposed to be? Also the lights at night are floating in mid air (not attached to light posts).
geebee
Correction: It's DX10 with the black squares. Unchecking DX10 preview solves it. But the floating lights is still an issue. Sorry about that.
quickdoc
I have the FSX original Installation together with the Acc.pack. It´s the same Problem on my system with this demo. My system: Nvidia GTX750,16 GB RAM, Intel i5 4th gen. 3,2 GHZ, SDD 250 GB, windows 7 prof. Uncheckin the dx 10 preview and the lights are correct visible. But with dx10 there are these ugly black 'squares'... Hope, someone has a fix for that...
Nick Cooper
Dx 10 Preview is not compatible with the FTX lighting. There is a fix and indeed a whole forum dedicated to Dx10 issues. You could start here http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/80996-the-dx10-fixer-how-to-guide-a-new-home-and-editor/ or just run your FTX products in Dx9. The lights don't have lamp posts.
