eray9s
when I double click either the "Day" or "nite" icon on main screen I get following message. Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You may not have the appropriate permission to access them. Why does this happen and what do I need to do to make any changes on lighting in FS flying? Thanks eray9s Ray
Alex Goff
Hi Ray, It sounds like your FSX folder resides in Program Files (x86). If that's the case you should try taking ownership of the folder so that you have the appropriate permissions: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc753659.aspx

Alex Goff
Hi Ray, Are you using an administrator account? You can try running the Day/Night switch manually from within the Orbx/Scripts folder. The two executables are FTXLights_Day.exe and FTXLights_Night.exe. Are you running an antivirus on your simming machine? If so try disabling that, the Day/Night switchers have been known to flag antiviruses in the past
