TheEdge
Just reinstalled FSX on my new PC and among many of the problems I am coming up against is a problem with the England scenery pack. I've noticed in quite a few areas I am seeing big square patches of water in the middle of land masses. Their shape and random and sudden appearance makes it clear they are an error. I've also installed the UK2000 Bristol scenery and around that I am seeing there is water just following the contours of the land, complete with boats, again, a square area. PC specs are Windows 8.1 64bit, 8GB RAM, Intel i5 @3.4GHz and a GTX 660 2GB. Thanks for any help received.
Wolter van der Spoel
please make sure you get all updates and patches for your FTX titles from the support page, also please make sure that you run the latest library files last of all http://fullterrain.com/support.html
Ripcord
I am having the same problem. Reinstalled FTX England and all the patches, plus library file. Did not fix my problem. I was wondering if this worked for the original poster. Going to disable UTX Europe next. In fact, I'll just remove all those UTX addons now, since Vector is getting close. Ripcord
Here is a very good illustration of the problem. Reinstalling FTX region + patches + libraries did not solve this. Nor did removing UTX
Ripcord
Reinstalled Global + most current libraries, still same problem.
Ripcord
For the original poster, if your issue looks like mine did, Holger helped me find the problem -- it was some bad freeware which I was able to narrow down by process of elimination. http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/68135-water-squares-on-land/
