bkircher
Hey there to all Some may know me from the other forums and would like to say hey to everyone on the forum. My question is, a couple of months ago, i read that ftx found a way to enable dnynamic cloud shadows. I was wondering if this is true and is still being developed or what? Thanks Cant wait to buy the US edition of FTX
John Venema
Not sure where you read that, but environment effects, clouds, water and sky are not part of the FTX product series. We can recommend any number of environment addons to use with FTX including FEX, ASX and the upcoming REX. FTX is 100% compatible with all those addons and operates independently from them. I think at some point Chris Norris from the FEX team talked about adding cloud shadows to FEX in a future update, but I'm not sure how advanced those plans are. John Venema
I think Chris meant to say "FEX" in his post. It was always intended to be a weather engine function, not ground terrain.
