Mikelab6
Hi all, I have FTXG and North America region installed on my PC. I have few questions about what will happend, if I restore my REX initial backup (restoring FSX default texture). ; 1. Are my FSX default textures will replace some FTXG or FTX NA textures (road, tree, runway, lights or others) ? 2. Do I need to select Global in FTX Central before the REX backup restore ? 3. Do I need to reinstall FTXG after the restore to have FTXG or FTX NA textures back ? Thanks for your help !
Wolter van der Spoel
as you installed FTXG then you'll need to make a new backup with REX, to make sure you have the same textures backed up, otherwise most likely you'll end up with a mix of things and probaly it won't look that fab
Mikelab6
Yeah, I understand, good point Wolter ! Simmers have to be aware that their hold REX backup is not longer usable. My idea was to restore default FSX water animation, but now, I will not... Have a good day !
timest
Wolter, correct me if I'm wrong, but REX shouldn't overwrite or clash with anything in regards to FTXG.
Wolter van der Spoel
Hi Tim, just in case to be sure, I fully agree with you that normally there shouldn't be any issue, just keeping to the safe side of things and it shouldn't or couldn't harm either
