ANSWERED FTXG and REX backup restore

Hi all,

 

I have FTXG and North America region installed on my PC.

 

I have few questions about what will happend, if I restore my REX initial backup (restoring FSX default texture). ;

 

1. Are my FSX default textures will replace some FTXG or FTX NA textures (road, tree, runway, lights or others) ?

2. Do I need to select Global in FTX Central before the REX backup restore ?

3. Do I need to reinstall FTXG after the restore to have FTXG or FTX NA textures back ?

as you installed FTXG then you'll need to make a new backup with REX, to make sure you have the same textures backed up, otherwise most likely you'll end up with a mix of things and probaly it won't look that fab

Yeah, I understand, good point Wolter !  Simmers have to be aware that their hold REX backup is not longer usable.

 

My idea was to restore default FSX water animation, but now, I will not...

Wolter, correct me if I'm wrong, but REX shouldn't overwrite or clash with anything in regards to FTXG.

just in case to be sure, I fully agree with you that normally there shouldn't be any issue, just keeping to the safe side of things and it shouldn't or couldn't harm either
