Reinstalling FSX

PaulSB

Recommended Posts

My FSX has become too unstable and I need to do a complete reinstall; groan!  I suspect that the problem may have been caused by a couple of add-on aircraft.  I have got lots of scenery; rather than having to reinstall each one, along with any updates, is there any way that I can copy the whole ORBX file and reinstall it all together?

Thanks.

Hi Wolter, I am planning a complete new install soon when I get a new PC so I came to this post while searching for current instructions as it is now 4-5 years since I started from scratch.

With your instructions above I note that you have not included EU, would I be correct in quessing that just before FTXG would be OK. Can you confirm please. And where should FTX Central be set during a clean install (or is that per each scenery instructions)?

Cheers Anton.

Wolter,

This is such a nice, clear explanation of the install process. :)

Recommend pinning it to the top of the forum as "FSX & ORBX install order" and updating as additional products (Vector and openLC) are released.

(I know there is a Orbx Region install order thread in the FAQ, but it doesn't include Global.)

Regards,

Matt
