toby23
I have installed all of the PNW sceneries excluding SAK. I have FTX Global installed. FTX Central shows FTX Global and North America. How do I install all of FTX AU on top of this? I have the SP3 Installers plus the SP4002 patch. Thanks.

toby23
I've uninstalled FSX as nothing I tried worked... It took all week to install FSX and all my add-ons and five minutes to ruin it all.
Wolter van der Spoel
Toby, I'm really surprised with this, normally this should work without any issues not sure what went wrong or where, normally things should look like this: fsX install with SP1+SP2 or Acceleration is the bases, for FTX sceneries in fsX it must be patched up to SP2 or Acceleration to work properly so in a nuttshell: you installed FTX Global and all was fine and working you then installed the AU package + updates, did you start fsX after this ? as I mentioned you then ran the ORBXLIBS 130723 files and everything went amiss, that's very strange to say the least and I feel your frustration as it also frustrates me if you right-click the fsX.exe in your main fsX folder and select properties, then the "Compatibility" tab and tick the check box "run this program as an administrator" Also if you got and select your fsX main folder right-click and select properties, then un-check the "read only" tick box in case you have the Acceleration pack, then please set FTX Central to "default= FTX Global" untick all checkboxes and hit Apply, close FTX Central insert the Acceleration disk and select repair, that should bring your fsX install back to the status when Acceleration was installed, mind you all your addons still will be there they only need re-activation, as for FTX a simple switch via FTX Central tothe region of your choice and it should work again. in case you have time we can have a chat on skype to make it easier to resolve this frustrating issue, my skype addy = ph-wvds
Alex Goff
Hi Toby, Question on your install process. Was hybrid mode activated when you installed AU? We may need to write up a procedure for older products like AU. I'll ping the team for some more input
toby23
Thanks for your support guys but no joy. I know my way around my machine and my FSX install but AU SP3 messed it up. It messed up the terrain.cfg and it changed the permissions of fsx.exe (was admin before). I know what I'll be doing the next few days.... Reinstalling... I'll install AU first this time round... I feel that it's an incompatibility problem with the older install files and the newer global cfg... who knows, just my gut feeling.
Wolter van der Spoel
Thank you for your support Toby, The Team is working frantically to adapt all installers to the latest version, that takes a bit of time, must admit I have all FTX packages installed and even a few more Betas, but have not suffered this kind issues, I hope this time round it will work out for you and if you make any discovery please feel free to let us know what you encountered so we can help others as well if need be
