FTXG, ugly textures in the distance

You will see that with default textures also, because your altitude is so high you can see the edge of the sim's scenery texture draw distance. This has nothing to do with FTX Global. You can try to set LOD_RADIUS higher in FSX.cfg but this will impact performance somewhat.

BTW, I am very pleased with FTXG. The transitions from Switzerland X (photo mural)  to Germany (FTXG) in the north are almost invisible. ::)

If your system can stand it go with an LOD of 7.5 which should alleviate the issues in your initial shot.  BTW I agree with JV that this is not an FTXG issue.

Thank you for the good tips. Changing the LOD_Radius is useless because the FSX border is farther away. In the heat of combat I turned off my brain and forgot to limit  the visibility.


 


 I normaly solve this problem with AS2012, reducing visibility to 50 miles (thanks rogera), and real weather  ;D
