Vonduck
Guys, Since reinstalling my OS a while back, i have this darned issue that whenever i start FSX my explorer.exe stops and i have to restart it using the windiws task manager etc... this is the only way i can get my task bar to work while in FSX... The weird thing is... when i run P3D it doe not affect the task bar or explorer.exe at all! Does anyone know why that is? I have also tried numerous Google "fixes" to stop this explorer.exe pain but all to no avail... i did see one post where it suggested that some OS's are plagued with this so reinstall! Dont think so.... Any ideas? Cheers
Guest
Hi Doug, After a reinstall of OS make sure .NET is at the latest version. Also check all updates for Internet Explorer are integrated. Crash may be due a current work in the system directory

spirit_66
Maybe a look into the event viewer can tell you the reason of your problem. "control panel/administrative tools/event viewer" Spirit
Adam Howarth
No need for reinstall before trying MS tools to fix any corruption e.g. Admin command prompt "sfc /scannow" Also the dism tool, with Dism.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /Scanhealth Dism.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /Restorehealth
