John York
Well, I started with just the one but now I have in the reverse order in which I got them; FTX Config Test, FTX AI Control Panel and FTX Mode, which incidentally, has to be kept apart from FTX Config Test in case I get them muddled up because they look so much alike . Now I'm completely up to date with updates, what I need to know is do I need any of them any more? John
Mark Abdey
You don't need to keep the desktop shotcuts, so I guess you can remove them - the entries should remain in your programs list if you need or want to modify them.
John York
Sorry, my fault, I didn't make myself clear. Implicit in the question is; do I still need to turn FTX off when flying in Countries other than Australia and do I need to tick the AI Traffic when flying in Countries outside Australia and do I need to do the FSX Config test any more? Other than that, you've been most helpful Mark! John
John York
Can someone, John perhaps, reply to my questions above please? John
awright
If you are not flying in OZ then turn FTX off since this provides the default textures. As for AI I don't think it matters but you can turn it off. Alex
John York
Hi Alex Thanks for your reply. It was only that I read somewhere, and I can't find it now, that once all the updates are installed, the turning on and off of both FTX and AI is unnecessary, in which case, if correct, I was going to delete the two shortcuts. I think I had better continue using them. It maybe that will apply when the disc becomes available. John
awright
Yes once the DVD is out FTX Mode is no more. Alex
Maurice_King
Ah FTX effects Australia only and has no effect any where else, Turn it on and leave it on.
John York
What about the FTX AI aircraft Maurice? John
Maurice_King
Since FTX AI is AI GA and other traffic I'd say it would be the same .
