skipjack
Good day, I have recently installed FTX NA GA AI Traffic 1.0 & 1.1 versions, & now after bringing up FSX it comes up with a error message saying 'There are multable objects with the same folder. Must have unique names.' ' 'FTX AI Cessna cardinal 177 VH RRB, Sim Objects/Airplanes/FTX Cessna Cardinal.' I have also have FTX AU AI Traffic installed I deleted the FTX NA Cessna Cardinal 177 Folder in Simobjects , in case it's clashing with the AU Cessna one's ? ...but same problem, FSX won't start up. I can eventually bring FSX up running if I hit the error message 'close' button a dozen times & then runs runs OK. But I don't want to muck around with it any further in case I upset something! Each time I have to repeatitaly close off the error dialog message. I already have installed FTX PNW, Pacific Fiords & your excellent recent NA SA Alaska. Some how I'm going to have to delete, rename etc ..some folders. Hope you can help Regards, Stewart Thompson FSS Order No 213930
Wolter van der Spoel
Hi Stewart, did you also install the AU 4.0 version for the AI traffic, as a test please make sure that in the CP via FTX Central only the NA AI are active and all else AI is deactivated
skipjack
Wolter, yes I do have AU AI 4.0 version installed. I have checked that NA AI GA is active. I have also deselected all FTX AU AI Traffic include FSX default,...there is no actual deactivate tick, in FTX Central control panel, but problem still exists! I have to close down the error dialog box for all the VH (Australian Rego) Cessna 177 Cardinal's, over a dozen of them, until I can bring up FSX. Graham Eccleston
It sounds as though the cleanup script for FTX AU AI traffic has not removed your older aircraft folders. The quickest way to resolve this issue is for you to manually delete any FTX aircraft folders in your SimObjects\Airplanes folder NOT beginning with FTX AU XXXXX or FTX NA XXXXX or if you have Tamworth airport, FTX_Pac_Airtrainer CT4. If the issue persists, delete all your FTX aircraft folders except FTX_Pac Airtrainer CT4 and reinstall both AI Traffic packages.
skipjack
I have acted on your suggestion above, but only deleted the default FTX Cessna Cardinal 177 folder only, (just on a hunch! ) & left FTX AU XXX & FTX NA XXX & the Tamworth one , (which I have YSTW), as is in the SimObjects\Airplanes folder Problem now solved! & Just as a further precaution check ( for me anyway as I see it)... reselected FTX Central to Default & FSX still boots up normally now. as well . Thanks both of you for your help. Stewart T
