White AI planes in DX10 - I would love to get them coloured

Oh, how I would like to get this FTX AI traffic issue in DX10 solved:

I know, the payware FTX addon converter ( http://www.flightsimtools.com/adconvx/ ) can solve this pain, but this is for the price of additional loading time whenever starting a flight.


 


I have already added the missing alpha channels & mipmaps to the planes, but that did not help. Any ideas in the community?

What format are you saving the textures as once you have added the alpha channel as I believe they need to be saved as either DDS DXT3 or 32bit extended bitmap.  Note if saving as a DDS texture you will need to flip horizontally the texture and alpha before saving.
