anfield ace
Hi Guys, Me too, a purple/bluish tinge as described above! Just like to add what a brilliant airport and local scenery! May I ask were are the camels as show in a previous screen shot? Cheers, Mal...
Jarrad Marshall
G'day Capt & Mal, You are indeed correct in noting this, and to be honest this was also picked up in the beta testing process. This was an issue I wrestled with a lot, and di manage to reduce a great deal. The problem lies with the compression process of converting a 32-bit image (say, my source .psd file for the ground image) to a compressed DXT5 format .dds (ie the format of texture used in FSX). There is a certain loss of colour definition, especially when there is a sharp contrast in colours, for example in your shot above along the edge of a white/dark grey border - so whilst this doesn't exist in the source .psd, once compressed it turns up. Hope this explains in a little more detail what you are seeing. Mal - in answer to your question RE camels, take off on runway 28, and along the beach in front (Cable Beach), you will see a pearl lugger to the right. The camels are located along this part of the beach, near some people sunbathing on the beach. Cheers, Jarrad
