alex330
Hello everybody, I got a new computer recently and I'm trying to (re)install all my ORBX-Packages into my new FSX-Installation. However, I get an error message: Windows 8 with a running .net4.5 installation is on my computer. Is this a backwards compatibility problem? What can I do? Thanks for your replies! Paul Webster
Hi, By that error message you need to install .net v3.5 for windows 8 which is backward compatibly to v3.0 Paul

alex330
Thank you very much for your quick answers. I'll try it today. I did some search but I got stuck, maybe because I didn't use the best search terms. EDIT: It works now, thanks :)
Friedi Gulder
Alex, you must run the updates for Win 8. On my side there are meanwhile six updates for NetFramework 3.5 installed. Included 3.0. Cheers. Friedi.
alex330
Thanks you Friedi, strangely windows update didn't do the trick for me. But now the installation of .net 3.5 did - I didn't think one could install the older version alongside the new one. Anyway, issue resolved
