jjoecaptain
To FTX Support, I have a question on the runway leading lights to Rwy 08 at PAJN. I notice the alignment of the lights do not match up with the LDA X RWY8 I-JDL CRS=068. The flashing leading lights are offset to the left when I am locked on the LDA for approach (flying the PMDG 737-700). When after the CGL NDB I disconnect the autopilot (as set by the approach chart), I need to bank to the left to line up with the lights for final visual approach to Rwy 8. Are the lights suppose to line up with the LDA? The lights do provide a very nice guidance and an easy to manuver angle to the runway threshold. RobdeVries
Take a look at the appraoch chart for PAJN and you'll notice it's a wel modelled feature (skyvector.com).

jjoecaptain
Thanks, Rob. So from what I can gather from the indicator description of the runway 8/26: "VASI ALIGNED APRXLY 13 DEGS RIGHT OF RY CNTRLN AND IS NOT VISIBLE ON RY CNTRL. VASI UNUSBL BYD 06 DEGS LEFT OF CRS." the leadings lights are at CRS=70.1 degs (Rwy heading = 83.1 degs minus 13 degs), while that the LDA CRS=68 degs as given by the approach chart. So they were not meant to line up with each other. Joe
