jbertelson
Minor issue: There are some buildings in the commercial areas surrounding the marina at Cordova, AK that are not aligned with the underlying photo scenery. The anomalies are on both sides of the marina, e.g. N60 32.91 W145 45.
Holger Sandmann
Hi there, Cordova doesn't have a photoreal ground texture. The issue stems from the way FSX ground textures get increasingly distorted horizontally (= "squished") with increasing latitude. It's not as obvious when textures are aligned north-south, which is the case for most of our urban and industrial textures. However, in the case of Cordova, where the harbor area is at a 45-degree angle, the building footprints become distorted (look at them in top-down view) and thus the rectangular autogen buildings don't properly fit anymore. Not much we can do about it other than not using 45-degree textures but then those would clash with Cordova's harbor alignment.
