I installed Kjac. I installed latest library. I am using windows vista 32 bit. I've read through forums to seek a solution. Still having problem. Kjac installed and scenery is running perfect. Can someone give some ideas how to fix? Thank you.
chik
Hello Cameron I'm not clear on exactly when you are getting the errors but I think I know. When you are trying to set a region in the UI and you select "Apply". If this is correct here is how to fix it although "fix it" is not really what we are doing but rather I am going to tell you how to properly use the Orbx UI. 1) Start FSX and proceed to take flight for a few moments. 2) Start FSX and proceed to take flight for a few moments.............again. 3) Close FSX and give it enough time to completeely shut down. This can take as long as 15 seconds before all accompanied services are completely off. 4) Start Orbx UI. 5) Select your region you wish to fly and proceed to execute "Apply". 6) Start FSX and fly. IMPORTANT: DO NOT run the Orbx UI while FSX is open. IMPORTANT: DO NOT change regions without first running FSX. Even if you still get the error, start FSX between each "APPLY"/ If you still get the inhandled exception errors you need to keep starting FSX until they stop. That should happen after the second or third time. These errors can happen when you switch areas and then try to exe. FSX to quickly and the files haven't had time to be renamed. mcair
Installing the latest ORBX libraries fixed a similar unhandled exception in FTX Central: http://myftx.com/orbxfreeware/FTXORBXLIBS_130301.zip
cameron
Thank U for respone. As I wrote, I have installed the latest library. When starting Ftx Central, the option to select a region does not show up. The error that I have shown is what pops up.
Holger Sandmann
Hi Cameron, hmm, the last reference I could find to that particular error was from two years ago: http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/31475-the-given-key-was-not-present-in-the-dictionary/ Have a look at that thread and the solution offered further down; hopefully it'll work for you as well. Cheers, Holger
