John Giddens Posted September 13, 2008 Share Posted September 13, 2008 Awesome aircraft , The PAC fletcher , designed and built in Hamilton NZ , They are a 400 hp lycoming engine with a payload of 1/2 a ton . Old as too , date back to the 70,s that model . Nowadays theve built a bigger better version called the Cresco , can carry 2 ton 750 horsepower turbine. They also are doing variants of these aircraft , selling all around the world as a STOL doing parachute drops , charter , all sorts of operations . I used to load the old fletchers , ZK-EMC to be exact ,from Wanganui Aero work , which can be found on Avsim in the same package as the phoenix aircraft pictured . EDIT: posted this same time as you did johnno, funny this afternoon I was watching Mythbusters and the episode was aeronautical themed. There was a portion where they had to sky dive and guess what the plane was? I am not 100% (it looked a little bigger) but I could have sworn it was a Fletcher. I'll give it a go tonight.
