hughp Posted December 16, 2011 Share Posted December 16, 2011 First flight in NZSI for me - Stewart Island to Dog Island via Centre Island. Departing Ryans Creek, Stewart Is, the southernmost airfield in New Zealand: Downwind and base at Centre Island. Very fun bumpy and sloping strip After departing, a look at the lighthouse on south coast of Centre Island Dog Island first attempt. At first look the field just seemed too short for the SF 260, but the slope looked encouraging, so went around and tried again. ....and success. Really enjoyed this first flight. My ancient (nearly 4 year old) rig may not show the scenery at its very best, but it still looks amazing to me, going to be flying this one a lot!
