Jazzie
There was a good article in July's Computer Pilot mag referencing some great free aviation handbooks (pdf's) from the US FAA website .. just thought I'd pass along for those who might be interested. They are definitely worthwhile. They are all well illustrated and in colour. Probably not news to the experienced / professional pilots here but extremely informative for newbies like myself. Airplane Flying Handbook (2004) - technical manual covering basic pilot skills http://www.faa.gov/library/manuals/aircraft/airplane_handbook/ Instrument Flying Handbook (2007) - comprehensive guide to instrument flying for both pilots & instructors http://www.faa.gov/library/manuals/aviation/instrument_flying_handbook/ Instrument Procedures Handbook (2007) - companion to above but focused on procedures http://www.faa.gov/library/manuals/aviation/instrument_procedures_handbook/ Jazzie
