FSX - Complete reinstall on dedicated HDD

Some advice please, everyone - I've just purchased a dedicated 150 Gb HDD to use exclusively for flightsimming. I think this may have been covered previously, but I couldn't find the link, so apologies if I'm going over old ground here. Here is the order in which I plan to install, any amendments or comments appreciated. Also, this might help any "newbies" who are thinking of doing the same thing, as well as us "older simmers!"  Cheers, Malcolm.

1. Format Drive - done.

2. Install FSX & run program - done.

3. Install FSX service pack 1 & run program - done.

4. Install FSX Acelleration Pack & run program - done.

5. Complete defrag with O&O - done.

6. Install AU Blue

7. Install AU Gold (remembering to de-activate FTX)

8. Install FTX SP1

9. Defrag again

10.Install Holgers Mesh

11. That's about as far as I can think at 2300 - obviously have heaps of aircraft, FEX, FSWC etc. to install, but really wanted to get the basics right.

6. Install AU Blue, let fsX rebuild it's Dbase,(remember to turn fsX off and FTXmode OFF after that)

7. Install FTX SP1, IF you have the FTXAU_Blue v1.1, this is not needed (remember to turn FTXmode OFF after that)

8. Install Holgers Mesh

9. Install AU Gold

10. restart fsX let it rebuild it's Dbase, go for a lil checkride

11. Defrag again

12. Have a goodnight of sleep

Woo Hoo! Thanks Uhu! I knew I was getting there, I'm going to be busy today - seems I have an awful lot of add-ons lol!  I have to say, even at this early stage, the start up time is quicker, but it will be interesting to see if any particular addition slows it down. Thanks again, mate. Malcolm.
