moonman
This was my first attempt using Plan-G... not perfect yet... have to read into the manual more detailed... but overall: For the beginning it worked out fine - at least i think so . I decided to go to the PFJ area again and take some flights around Salmon Glacier... The first flight took place in the morning hours, the second one just some time later - and - as You will see: With another aircraft. Weather was a bit cranky but not unfriendly, so i gave it a try... and: It´s still a simulation isn´t it... Well...: Actually after that flight i once more was not sure about this! Because i was really, really amazed about the detail this scenery offers - the terraintextures look great and then the Mesh-Detail - it´s just AMAZING - Someone can really and almost feel the ground passing by there below... I tried to capture that within this series of pictures here... If You like to follow that route as well, You can take a look at the "map" that i put in here at the very end. I am really not certain if i would take this tour the way i was flying it, if i was a real pilot though... but here in ORBX´s PFJ - ... it was just to tempting . And: These great repaints used here are both from hawker1693, available at the OZx-site! Please enjoy!! All starting... ... Up towards Salmon Glacier! Just look - for instance - at the detailed course of "the river" ... [img width=1062 height=700]http://fsfiles.org/flightsimshots/images/616B.jpg ... Trees - i really like them up here in the mountains ... [img width=1062 height=700]http://fsfiles.org/flightsimshots/images/350C.jpg ... Trees again ... [img width=1062 height=700]http://fsfiles.org/flightsimshots/images/688D.jpg ... Getting closer to the top ... [img width=1062 height=700]http://fsfiles.org/flightsimshots/images/784E.jpg ... Near Granduc Mine - once more i was really amazed by the detail here ... [img width=1064 height=700]http://fsfiles.org/flightsimshots/images/180F.jpg ... The transition between the glacier and its surrounding terrain is just wonderful to look at and enjoy... almost real ... [img width=1100 height=700]http://fsfiles.org/flightsimshots/images/905G.jpg ... Granduc Mine airfield - unlisted - ... Did not want to land with the Amphib here ... [img width=1062 height=700]http://fsfiles.org/flightsimshots/images/779H.jpg ... So: Let´s move on ... [img width=1062 height=700]http://fsfiles.org/flightsimshots/images/234I.jpg ... downwards now a little - and again: Detail, detail, detail... [img width=1062 height=700]http://fsfiles.org/flightsimshots/images/348J.jpg ... [img width=1062 height=700]http://fsfiles.org/flightsimshots/images/412K.jpg ... the wall ... [img width=1062 height=700]http://fsfiles.org/flightsimshots/images/435L.jpg ... You see these two mountains there...? We will go up there now ... [img width=1062 height=700]http://fsfiles.org/flightsimshots/images/617M.jpg ... was really not that hard as expected ... [img width=1062 height=700]http://fsfiles.org/flightsimshots/images/111N.jpg ... Going back now - a longer way downwards this time ... [img width=1156 height=700]http://fsfiles.org/flightsimshots/images/503O.jpg ... Again: Rivers, trees, terrain... Detail!!!: On a way to Stewart ... [img width=1100 height=700]http://fsfiles.org/flightsimshots/images/147P.jpg ... [img width=1062 height=700]http://fsfiles.org/flightsimshots/images/690Q.jpg ... [img width=1017 height=700]http://fsfiles.org/flightsimshots/images/726R.jpg ... Taking a break ... [img width=1081 height=700]http://fsfiles.org/flightsimshots/images/141S.jpg ... Some from the cockpit: All of these last pictures now, were taken during a second flight up to Salmon glacier... - again: Real great Ground-detail ... [img width=1132 height=700]http://fsfiles.org/flightsimshots/images/183T.jpg ... near Premier gold mine ... [img width=1160 height=692]http://fsfiles.org/flightsimshots/images/982U.jpg ... Ice ... [img width=1138 height=700]http://fsfiles.org/flightsimshots/images/844V.jpg ... could not resist ... one Touch and Go ... [img width=1160 height=694]http://fsfiles.org/flightsimshots/images/783X.jpg ... [img width=1148 height=700]http://fsfiles.org/flightsimshots/images/276Y.jpg ... And: The "Flightplan"... well: as i said: First try with Plan G!
