Dean (PC Aviator) Posted January 12, 2011 Share Posted January 12, 2011 Hi Folks, As a brisbanite and Queenslander, the floods are certainly affecting us here, not directly in terms of flooding, but it is affecting many of our local customers, some FTX forums members and customers, the state of Queensland, and no doubt will affect the country as a whole in the coming weeks. We would like to offer 10% of all net sales of Orbx boxed products purchased through PC Aviator Australia during the remainder of January 2011 directly to the Premier's Flood Appeal. This is a great way to grab some excellent boxed FTX products, as well as contribute to the flood appeal financially. As the other Aussie flight simulation store it would only be fitting that we play a part in this very worthy cause. We'll donate AUD$1.00 from every order received during January to the same appeal (Premier's Flood Appeal). Between the two stores it should work out to be quite a substantial donation to the victims and their families. This is something we here at FSS have felt very strongly about so it is with hope that our contribution makes a difference to many of the lives affected by the devastation caused by these terrible floods. FSS now has a sizable sum (over $1k) accumulated that will be donated to the Premier's Flood Relief Appeal. Not much when you look at the scale of devastation these floods have caused but a decent contribution from a small family business. I hope more business owners are following suit. A big Thank You to all of our customers who've helped us raise a total of $3,211 for this cause. Coming from Holland it all seems to be far away, but a regional newspaper here printed an article today about a local family who moved to Aus and lost everything in the flood.
