Patrick Cox Posted January 7, 2011 Share Posted January 7, 2011 The red tailed Mustangs belonged to the squadron known as the 'Tuskagee Airmen'. They were the only all negro squadron in the USAAF during WWII. They were used as escorts for bombers bombing Germany and their record was that they never lost a bomber to enemy aircraft.
