tennyson
That is good news, mate. I would never recommend anybody to play around with power supplies. Whilst other areas within a PC are relatively safe (5 voltĀ and 12 volt), inside the power supply lurks capacitors and circuitry carrying and retaining many thousands of volts and can quite literally blow one's arm off! Another point to consider is that the fuse has been replaced in many newer power supplies with fusible links, which makes changing them or soldering in new fuses a thing of the past. And lastly, you know you did the right thing timmo, as the power supply has a tamper sticker, which when broken (you will do this if you open the power supply) will void your warranty and you will be up for the 240 bucks, not the manufacturer.
