Old Bar is at the mouth of the Manning Estuary, which is the mouth of the Manning river, which is in the Manning Valley...

It has excellent surf beaches

A few miles up river, Taree is the main town of the Manning Valley area.

The airport is completely photoreal.

And now a longer look!

Interesting terminal building

Fill 'er up please! This is another one of those 'nice find' airfields, with lots of little details wherever you look; well worth a visit!

great photos Tim, a beautifull area to fly in, you can thank Butch our photoshop master for his enhancing of the photoreal runway, great to see these strips get some screenie time.

BTW my 1st real nav exercise was from Warnervale to Taree, coastal, with williamtown permission, and we returned via the Glouster valley laneway, restricted to 1000, and 1500 ft to avoid the F18,s practising, Mark over at OZx was in the process of doing the towns and small strips of that Valley,

Took 4 hours return in a skyfox cruising at 60knts

cheers

Ken

Excellent - thanks for the RW context Ken, that really helps bring the scenery to life  ;D I noticed the airspace that follows the road from Gloucester to Maitland, but FS only shows it as  "Williamtown Danger Area", sfc-1500' & sfc-1000'. I guessed it was some kind of FJ lane, but not knowing the context...

@Alan: Yes, the photoreal is part of the OZx package  8)
