Dags60
Hi guys i'm a bit confused regarding textures First off i want to try 2048 textures for HD cockpits etc, aka the new Carenado 208B which uses HD textures, plus i want to try 2048 textures in REX. Now my problem ... I did everything right setting up my 2048 textures in REX, then i fired up FTX Aero and changed my TML setting to 2048, went for a fly but noticed with a keen eye that FSX was not using my new 2048 textures. And no i didnt change anything while in flight. So i then closed out of FSX then checked my fsx config, it said i was using 1024 textures When i checked again in FTX Aero the TML setting reverted back to 1024. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers guys
gheeD
Set the TML yourself in the .cfg before launching FSX. Not that hard...

Ron Attwood
Thanks mate i will check the config again before my next flight Be aware though, that FSX will revert to 1024 in the .cfg if you change any graphics options. Not that hard......if you know.

Just Fly
Another suggestion: if you don't want FSX to change the TML setting back, save your actual settings (using FSX UI) and then edit the TML line in that file. Then restart FSX and load that config: your TML setting will be 2048 then.

Maurice_King
Remember that there are constraints within the model and 3d object file that map certain areas of a texture sheet , if the sheet is NOT the same as that which it is looking for then you get all sorts of strange stuff happening . ie your brushed aluminium panel now appears over the upholstery etc, some times it is NOT just a case of make the texture tile bigger.
