Patrick Scharnowski Posted August 26, 2010 Share Posted August 26, 2010 As promised I tried and it worked on my first attempt, alhough it took full brakes, spoilers, reverse thrust and 4 knots of headwind to stop in time. Admitted, I was a little too far right so that my starboard wingtip would have clipped the hangar and a few trees and I softly touched a tree with the port wing shortly before coming to a hold, but the theory is sound. If done right and farther to the left she certainly can be landed and stopped there, without damage. An FS Recorder 2 replay is available, if you don't believe it (you will need the bare metal USAF variation). Now... about taking off..... hm....
