Paul Baumanis
I don't think this problem is caused by Orbx software but hopefully you guys with superior knowledge can shed some light as to the cause and provide a solution. Although I have full autogen on, when I take a flight I am getting none and no roads either. Thinking a corrupted file may be the problem I did a repair from the FSX disk, but the problem persists. Any ideas before I wipe everything off and do a complete re-install?
John Venema
Check the ORBX\FTA_AU\FTXAU_48_CUSTOM\Texture folder and see if you have any *.agn files. That's where they live.
Paul Baumanis
Thanks for your reply John I have 532 .agn files in that folder. BTW you really ought to take a day off!
Paul Baumanis
There is an upside to this problem. It has encouraged me to fly at a higher altitude and appreciate how good FTX looks even without autogen!
Paul Baumanis
Have decided to reformat the drive and re-install. Will report back when complete. Thanks for your reply John, should have done this in the first place.
John Venema
OK if all the .agn files are there (and you've confirmed that), and the autogen buildings are not displaying, then there is an inherent problem with your FSX config. Try deleting your fsx.cfg file and letting the sim rebuild it on restart. That may resolve the issue. If not, I have to admit that's got me stumped, sorry.
