warwickm
Hello All, I have been using the rather good default Maule to explore PNW. However the paint schemes leave something to be desired. As it seems to be a strangely unloved aircraft I am battling to find some nice repaints. Could somebody point me in the right direction Cheers Warwick
John York
You're not completely alone Warwick, I also use the default Maule; it has some nice points about it. Good all round vision for sight seeing and a decent turn of speed when you want it. It's not the least bit heavy on performance either. So, I agree, a paint job would be nice. warwickm
Maurice, I have had a look around & found some nice paints on Airliners.net. Most are for Float variants but hopefully should inspire one of the painters on this board. I hyperlinked everything as uploading photos would have taken ages & I think infringed on copyrights. 1)http://www.controller.com/listingsdetail/aircraft-for-sale/MAULE-M7-260/MAULE-M7-260/1169300.htm 2)http://www.griffinstudios.tv/MauleForSale.htm 2a) similar scheme in blue http://www.airliners.net/photo/Maule-M-7-235B-Super/1422584/&sid=738f293cbe69ea4561557b6976e83183 3) My favourite http://www.airliners.net/photo/Maule-M-4-210C-Rocket/1620689/&sid=738f293cbe69ea4561557b6976e83183 Another angle http://www.airliners.net/photo/Maule-M-4-210C-Rocket/1548376/&sid=738f293cbe69ea4561557b6976e83183 4) http://www.airliners.net/photo/Maule-M-4-220C-Strata/1305767/&sid=b4eee2656ab8dc793d110591d5fe9d10 another angle http://www.airliners.net/photo/Maule-M-4-220C-Strata/0745844/&sid=3ddfa09cf113396379ddba0588a5e896 5) http://www.airliners.net/photo/Maule-M-7-235-Super/1513783/&sid=738f293cbe69ea4561557b6976e83183 another angle http://www.airliners.net/photo/Maule-M-7-235-Super/1391289/&sid=738f293cbe69ea4561557b6976e83183 Regards Warwick
John Lovell
Just found an amazing piece of freeware of the Maule with floats! Ideal for John's up and coming river 1m pixel extension between Israel's and Concrete! Check out the pics and this link to get her! http://www.fs-freeware.net/flight-simulator-downloads/Flight-Simulator-X/Propeller-Airplane/Flight-Simulator-X---M7-260-Amphibian-Maul/

6297j
Wouldn't it be great if the team that overhauled the default Goose and came up with the HD version could do the same for the Maule It's the perfect candidate I think.

Funny you say that, the Maule has been on my 'to do' list for some time now. The only thing that's held me back is the FM which needs a bit of an overhaul and I am not quite sure what Pam is doing at the moment. Hmmm... John York
Yep, I like it. Pity the direction bug on the VC doesn't work. Strangely, it does on the fixed cockpit. It doesn't matter though. The 'plane is so easy to handle that you don't really neet the auto pilot although I must admit I used it a bit for the altitude which works fine. John Lovell
Good stuff, glad you like it and having fun... But I would pay good money for a really top of the range payware Maule package
John York
Me too providing it came with a float version! With your clout perhaps you could persuade Bill Ortis at Lionheart or RealAir to do them for us John
