mm  you have to take a picture from within the simulator using your V key

then open the file in your /My Documents/My Pictures/Flight Simulator X Files

find the image then upload to a image host like Imageshack for photobucket

then paste a direct link to the image here

we'll have a look but i get the feeling your are just seeing more inland,forestish coloured water schemes that are typical of the region

G'day bursco,

It is a representation of Australia's inland waterways, normally brown or greenish brown. Unfortunately FSX doesn't provide anywhere near the flexibility with water textures as it does with land textures. Here's a couple of shots of the Fitzroy River near Rockhampton to show what we've tried to achieve.

Thanks for that Barry. Can I also add that the results in FSX will vary greatly depending on the water environment files you are using. With default, they will probably be too blue/green. Using an addon like FEX, Activesky/XGraphics or the upcoming REX, you will be able to choose a water theme that suits Australian conditions a lot better.
