Ams
Hello All, I am CTD while P3DV5 starts up. P3D V5 is not even able to load. The even log gives me this error: Faulting application name: Prepar3D.exe, version: 5.1.12.26829, time stamp: 0x5fb44f72 Faulting module name: nvwgf2umx.dll, version: 27.21.14.6611, time stamp: 0x60749ec6 Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x00000000001b1673 Faulting process id: 0x6b4 Faulting application start time: 0x01d7315ca206cade Faulting application path: C:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5\Prepar3D.exe Faulting module path: C:\WINDOWS\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\nv_dispi.inf_amd64_7d91b2ed40558a26\nvwgf2umx.dll Report Id: 0a8d6b70-0d80-4ad3-b605-6404fc6d35fd Faulting package full name: Faulting package-relative application ID: The fix for this is to go back to previous version of nvidia drivers. But I have a dual set up of P3DV5 and MSFS 2020. Going back to previous version of nvidia driver is a no go for me because if I do that MSFS 2020 takes a hit and that results in CTD with previous nvidia driver version. My current NVidia driver version is 466.11. I am raising is on Orbx support portal as I am sure I am not the only one to have dual sim setup. Please of anyone is facing this issue or managed to solve it please let me know as mentioned going back to previous version is a no go for me. Thanks and please help!!! Ams
Did some digging into P3D forums and found this: https://www.prepar3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6314&t=141827 See the last comment made by Beau Hollis. Looks like the issue is not yet resolved for P3D V5
Nick Cooper
Hello, there is a topic at Avsim about the 466.11 driver. https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/598970-nvidia-46611-released/ For the record, I am using 461.40 with six different simulators and no problems at all.
