CoyoteLoco
I have been using Orbx scenery addons for quite a while now and have never seen frame rate drops to the amount that I have with the AYPY Jacksons addon. Below I will attach several screen shots to show the drop in frame rates. The comparisons with higher FPS are KPSP (full addon), KSAN (full addon), and KSFO (no addon). For California airports I also have True Earth SoCal, NA SoCal, Open LC North America, and with KPSP and KSAN I have the Orbx addons for both. For AYPY I have Papa New Guinea Holgermesh and AYPY addons. All screen shots were take with the aircraft (A2A Bonanza), weather (ASN), time, P3D settings, GPU settings, running apps, etc. Only switch between airports for each shot. So I have much more Graphics loaded for the California shots than I do for PNG and AYPY. The scenery is completely unflyable. On approach to one of the AYPY airports I was getting frame rates between 4 and 5. I offered the different screen shots (all using Orbx scenery) to show the differences on the same machine and same settings. It's not due to a completely underpowered system or different graphics settings...it just is. KSAN, KPSP, KSFO in order on top. Four different airports within AYPY scenery are below them. Nick Cooper
Hello, I have tried a few with the same aircraft and the Gray and Rainy weather preset but do not see the frame rate loss. Perhaps you can specify which ones are causing you a problem?
CoyoteLoco
Nick, The problems "WERE" with all the AYPY airports. I downloaded the update from Orbx Central the other day. Today is the first day I decided to try it as I'd been flying the PMDG B777 new update/release and it's a bit big for these airports. Pulled out my AC690B today. The scenery is working GREAT! Thank you all at Orbx for addressing this issue and making the area flyable for me. Dana Wiles
