BigMalc5
Just re-installed Windows 10 and P3Dv5.1 all successfully loaded. Have run P3d once and shut down after a short flight which went fine. Have downloaded and installed Orbx Central 4.1.28.536 but it doesn't see P3D installation even if pointed to the correct folder. Do you have any suggestions please? Windows 10 pro, Core I7 8700K, 32Gb ram, GTX2060 super.
Nick Cooper
Hello, can you attach a copy of the Orbx Central log to your next post please?
BigMalc5
Hi Nick, thanks for the reply. I have Orbx scenery on a separate drive, "E", but can't see any log files. I've run a search on my "C" drive but no results were found.
Nick Cooper
Hello, you don't need to search. Just open Orbx Central, click on the toothed-wheel Settings icon\Help\Log\Open. Once it is open, use "Save as" to make a copy and then attach that copy to your next post. Thanks.

BigMalc5
Hi Nick, I think our mails crossed. I don't see a "Cog" on the opening screen, picture attached.
Nick Cooper
Hello, it has indeed found P3D v5: Quote [Simfinder] Found simulators: [p3dv5] [] [Simfinder] Coexistence. Not filtering FSX [] [Simfinder] Returning simulators to caller: [p3dv5] If you cannot see the toothed wheel, perhaps you cannot also see where it says P3D v5. Does it disappear off the top of your screen?
BigMalc5
Hi Nick, I saw that it had found something but it still doesn't work. I did try and upload a screenshot but it failed so here goes again.
Nick Cooper
Hello, can you try uninstalling and reinstalling just the P3D client and see if that fixes the problem? I has worked before.
BigMalc5
Ok Nick, thanks. I did manage to get a little further but then another problem arose. It doesn't like the library I have because it's not empty. I'll try another screen grab!
Nick Cooper
Hello, for some reason, this has not been fixed for P3D, although it works seamlessly for X Plane 11. I am a bit concerned that the target is E:\, that cannot be and if you have made a library it must be in its own folder, something you will have to create. If Orbx Central thinks that your library is E:\, you will find a folder on E:\, named p3dv5. Please first make a folder, on your E drive if that is your preference and call it something easy for you to identify, Orbx P3D Library would be a good name. Then use Orbx Central to create a library in that folder, which it will do because it is empty. Once you have done that, close Orbx Central and move your p3dv5 folder into E:\Orbx P3D Library. Restart Orbx Central and it will recognise the library and identify all your installed products.
BigMalc5
Hi Nick, that library is already there but Orbx Central won't "play with it".
Nick Cooper
Yes, please do as I suggested in my reply and all will be well.
