JS4100 Arriving YBBN Brisbane at Dawn

Recommended Posts

Nice shots mate....BUT...you need to run the Ozx removal script in the Orbx\scripts folder as you have a conflict with the freeware brisbane stuff from Ozx.  ;)

Those big brown mudflats in front of the runway and the duplicate cranes at the dock should not be there! removing this stuff will also give you some extra performance  :)

Thanks guys, and in keeping with the excellent Orbx support...

Thanks Russ, I didn't notice... Just thought everything was as it was supposed to be!

that first ones killer!. the rest are good.  i love that lighting at brisbane.  i bought it but havent even tried to install it because John said it was the most taxing airport they have.  my system slows way down at brisbane as it is.  Ill give it a go fairly soon though. no point in buying it if i aint going to use it.

Hi Phil,

How is the frame rates at YBBN using the J41?

I bet the new 480 makes it run real smooth??

Cheers

Well, I had to lower the Autogen Density to Very Dense while flying around YBBN (Extremely Dense just killed my system), and with the Frame Rate Limit set to 0, I am getting around 19 FPS, with the Limit set to 30, I am getting about 9....

The quality of the JS4100 VC and the Orbx YBBN literally make that shot near to impossible to distinguish between a real life photograph of the 19 approach.

Great shot, but also fantastic high quality add-ons.

Once the hardware goes through its next iteration I am beginning to wonder whether we need an FSnext.  A cleanup of X would be great, but once there is enough grunt and processing power then even that can be delayed.  I for one will not bother to go to Fnext if it is not completely backward compatible.  This is brilliant enough for me.

Hey Pmanhart, I noticed that you predominantly fly the fictional Qantas colours on that J41. I just wanted to make sure that you're aware of Brindabella Airlines livery. Brindabella I think is a subsidiary of Qantas and does the following routes:

And here are a few shots of the J41 in Brindabella Livery.

Not sure where they found snow in an Australian airport as seen in the final image, maybe Canberra?
