Orbx True Earth South EGBF scenery layer bleed problem

P3D: V5.1 HF1

Orbx Order: Your transaction ID / receipt number is 5ebefa2b42395.

After installing TrueEarth GB South the EGBF airport has two problems:

(1) Scenery bleed-thru on the runway (grass over tarmac in patches)

(2) If selecting in P3D for goto-airport-active-runway at EGBF and placed on 08, the aircraft is placed significantly short of the runway with wheels sunk into green terrain

To be sure this is Orbx related, I've now complete two fresh installs of P3D v5.1 HF1 with no other add-ons. It seems to be consistent. To be clear there are no other terrain or EGBF specific products installed. The attached screen shot shows both problems in one view.

Please can you advise how to fix this? Thanks!

Hello,

welcome to the forums.

This is not a problem with Orbx True Earth Great Britain.

EGBF is not present in either Orbx True Earth Great Britain, or in any preceding FSX or P3D version.

It has been added to P3D v5 by Lockheed Martin, presumably as a part of their overhaul of all the default airports.

It look like the airport has been made without any kind of flatten, leaving the runway flat but the underlying

terrain undulating.

Using ADE, I have created the missing flatten and recompiled the airport:

The files are attached.

You can add them to ORBX\FTX_EU\FTX_EU_!GBSII_05_SCENERY\scenery,

or you can make your own folder and add them to your scenery library.

Nick,

Thank you, that sorts it. I very much appreciate the fast analysis and the fix! Tested here and works fine with the new EGBF files inside the Orbx folder. The combination of TrueEarth and the new files creates a good view of how that airfield is today.

Richard.
