Do Try This At Home! Vacuum System Failure - Partial Panel Into KOLM

This video demonstrates a vacuum system failure during an IFR flight to Olympia Regional Airport (KOLM) requiring use of alternate primary instruments to safely complete the flight.

 

To add challenge to the flight, I chose the VOR-A approach into runway 17 requiring two procedure turns and a steep descent from the final approach fix.

 

To further add to the challenge, it was done with all hand flying and no GPS navigation.
