answered EGNT for X-Plane Jetways

Hi

 

I can't seem to get the jetways at Newcastle to connect to the aircraft (Zibo B738). Could be they're static objects but if not then how do I get them to connect?

I assume you have SAM installed?

I attach pics of the default 737 parking at gate 10 at EGNT. Precision parking at the Stop line is essential. Then open Plugins from the taskbar/ SAM/Airport Operations. I choose Manual rather than Automatic for the jetway movements. When parked correctly jetway option opens up in Blue as in pic 1:

As to whether the Zibo will work is not something I know about. I know that the addon works fine and if it doesn't work with the Zibo then you need to ask the Zibo developer.

Thanks for your reply Jon. Yes I have the SAM installed from Orbx Central. I see the little jetway A flag on the screen but it's grey rather than blue. Pretty sure I'm parked close enough for it to attach to the plane (I usually start at Gate 10).

Just tested it using the default Laminar B738 and like you say, it works fine. I'll have a chat with the Zibo guys and thanks for your help Jon.

You are welcome. It must be something to do with the Zibo model but I must admit it doesn't make any logical sense unless the Zibo model has different dimensions to the default model and therefore cannot ever line up correctly for the jetways to activate.
