drumsonly2002
The 480 is getting Hot Reviews! Heh Seems like it a real show off, a Hot dog of a performer. Wonder how much better the 485 will be vs the 480? The hardware is finally catching up with FSX. The 480 is slowly gaining ground. I say 2010 / 2011 FSX is coming into it's own. Tim Harris
The 485 will run 5 degrees hotter than the 480 Xmas is looking good so far
Ian Routley
The cynic in me thinks there is planned obsolescense in these products. The 480 not having the full complement of shaders online ... there is room on the same die for more performance. And yes ... probably hotter as well. tennyson
It certainly is a different GPU. Mine stays cool at around 5o degrees, but when I put it through it's paces, I've seen it climb to over 80 degrees. Frank
Lynchee
After an Ihour of flying this morning, my max temp reached 71c. I'm using MSI Afterburner for monitoring. Pretty good I thought. Lynchie
