Nick Cooper
Hello, although it is not the ideal solution, you can easily disable Vector in either the scenery library or the add-ons list, depending upon which way you installed it. You can then make your flight plan and re-enable Vector before starting the flight. It can all be done from the scenario screen.
andrea.debiase
i can try this again but last time i tried to disable it from within the sw it crashed....basically i can only uninstall it. Is there maybe a way to change the order of add ons to make not to crash? FInally, is this something that is going to be fixed as some point? thanks
Nick Cooper
Hello, you should not disable it from within the running game but at the scenario screen, where you can also prepare your flight plan. There is no plan from our side, I have no idea whether LM see a need to modify the behaviour of P3D v5, as this does not occur in P3D v4.
Drmerlin
I too am very disappointed that Vector for P3D5 causes CTDs every flight. I saw the response from Nick suggesting there was not an issue in P3DV4! Not very helpful given this version is specifically for Version 5. Nick Cooper
Hello, this topic concerns the fact that universally, Orbx Global Vector is indexed by P3D v5 each time the P3D v5 flight planner is used. The "P3D v5" version of Vector is exactly the same as the P3D v4 version, except that the Vector AEC function has been removed. In P3D v4, the presence of Vector does not extend the flight planning process at all. This is a perfectly valid observation of a fact. It does not universally cause a CTD when installed and it does not cause a CTD when it is disabled, as it by definition can not affect the simulator at all.
