Ian Howlett Posted September 2, 2020 Share Posted September 2, 2020 Hello, I'm using X-Plane 11.50rc2 on Mac. I've just bought and installed Orbx True Earth Great Britain South. How can I tell whether this True Earth scenery is installed and working? In other words, is there a simple way to check whether I'm viewing the Orbx scenery rather than the default X-Plane scenery? Jon Clarke Posted September 3, 2020 Share Posted September 3, 2020 You should be able to see the photo / ortho type landscape vs the original default scenery quite clearly so if you are not sure what you are seeing then attach your scenery_packs.ini and I will check if it has been layered correctly Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Ian Howlett Posted September 3, 2020 Author Share Posted September 3, 2020 Thanks Jon. I'm a PPL in real life, but I haven't done much with X-Plane. I've attached my scenery_packs.ini file. I noticed that Ely cathedral looks very realistic, with the correct towers and octagon shape in the centre, so that's probably a good sign that the scenery is working!
