answered Will Orbx purchases on xbox version be ok on full ver?

I have started using MSFS2020 via a $1 sub and wonder if I purchase Orbx products will they be still there if I purchase and install the Premium Deluxe version (and other addon’s for that matter)?

I am waiting to buy some Orbx MSFS products but I would like an answer to this question first please.

Yes, I spoke with MS support and any in game purchases are tied to your account. Provided you run the new purchase with the same account, all your in game purchases will remain.

It depends what you call "Xbox version"

If it's PC version on Windows Store, Donka is alright.

If it's Xbox console version, it's a bit more complex...

 

You will have 4 scenarios for third party addon (as Orbx):

1- available only on PC: your purchase won't be available on Xbox

2- available on PC and Xbox with crossbuy: your purchase will be available on PC (Windows Store version) and Xbox

3- available on PC and Xbox without crossbuy: your purchase will be available on the platform where you buy it

4- available only on Xbox: your purchase won't be available on PC

 

Third party are freedom to choose what scenario they want. Microsoft and Asobo don't force any.

 

For Asobo addon (World Update, Top Rudder, futur Aviat Husky A-1C...), they have annouced that it will be scenario 2 (crossbuy)
