nVidia 3D glasses and FSX

J.V. I see by your specs that you use the 3D glasses?  Do you find them successful for FSX?

The product demo that is provided once you set up the equipment looks fantastic; but when I go to FSX

there doesn't seem to be any difference that I can see. Is there any settings I have to change in the FSX game

itself?  Does it work with the ORBX scenery?

Ken,

Thanks for the phone call yesterday....problem resolved.

You were correct, to use the 3D function one has to be in "full screen" mode.

When that happened though, the screen went into a "pillar" effect mode and you got the effect ne normally gets on a TV when a movie is recorded in 3:4 resolution. However I think this will be resolved when I install the Samsung driver disk.

Silly me didn't find the disk untill I trolled through the Samsung installation book. When I plugged the screen into the computer it just worked so I thought that was all OK. I think I will see a change when I install the drivers for the screen.

Well the installation disk didn't help at all.

The 3D, when you go into full screen still has the "pillar" look. ie only two thirds of the screen is utilised.

Wife isn't too happy with me having spent so many bucks on a system that might not live up to

expectations. (Not the new rig, just the new monitor and 3D glasses)

Cheers
