passero
I just bought TrueEarth GB South and noticed that it adds at least 3 to 4 min to my loading time... Is that normal? I have an NVMe SSD where P3D and TrueEarth is installed so I was a bit surprised to see that... The loading seems stuck at "Loading terrain" at 5%. During that time, my CPU load is really low and there don't seem to be any read actions on my HDD as well so I don't understand where those 3 to 4 minutes are coming from. As soon as I uninstall TrueEarth, those minutes are gone and I'm back at normal loading time...
BrianV
Not in my case, it loads really quickly. I would suggest you to clear these two folders and let it rebuild upon restart. %programdata%\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5\SceneryIndexes %localappdata%\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5\Shaders I do this once in a while, and load time is very reduced (maybe 20 sec or so). Nonetheless, I read in the prepar3d forum that a faster loading will be included with the next p3dv5 hotfix.
passero
Thx. I tried but it still needs 3-4 min extra to load...
BrianV
That's odd, not sure why it loads a lot faster here, but hopefully the next p3dv5 hotfix will take care of it.
bvdboomen
One thing I can imagine is, that a TE product has unique tiles which are many, causing the loading to be slower? LC products can have less tiles so loading will be faster, I guess.
avduarri
My load time has increased too, maybe not 4 min but between 2 or 3 min. In my case using P3Dv4, so I guess it's not a P3Dv5 related problem.
