MikeEsposito
Hi all, Love the TE scenery, just picked up North/South California scenery but I'm not the smartest when it comes to understanding Ortho & Overalys. Prior to installing, I had used Forkboy Orthos for California. I removed the Ortho folder for California in my scenery folder, made sure it was removed from the INI file and I installed TE. Do I need to remove the prior Ortho4XP overlay folder for California (ForkBoy Ortho) in order to make sure TE scenery is displayed correctly? Thanks! Jon Clarke
Welcome. There are 2 answers. Yes and no!. Yes if the forkboy overlay is covering all of the NorCal and SoCal area for which you have Orbx NorCal and Socal. If you have both areas by Orbx then the forkboy overlay and ortho imagery is redundant and just using up valuable disk space. No if you only have one of the California areas. Just make sure that the forkboy overlay folder and imagery is placed well below the Orbx addon in the scenery_packs.ini layering structure.
